This calculator uses the standard confidence level of 95%; if your z-score is over 1.96 (or less than -1.96), then the difference between the percentages is statistically significant at the 95% level. This corresponds to a p-value of 0.05 or less (see diagram below).
Another way to say this is that we can reject the null hypothesis with a 95% confidence level.
